Acne:- Acne is also known as pimles. Acne is an inflammatory skin disorder which is primarily due to overactive oil producing glands in the skin known as oil glands.




How does pimples develop:-

 The hair pores in our skin contain oil glands. These glands makes oil, which is an oil that lubricates our hair and skin. Most  of the time the oil glands make the right amount of oil.

 As a teenger's body begins to mature and develop, hormones stimulate the oil glands to make more oil/sebum and the glands become overactive. Pores become clogged if there is too much oil and too many dead skin cells.

 Bacteria can then get trapped inside the pores and multiply, causing swelling and redness and you can call it the start of Acne.

Who gets pimple/Acne:- 

All ages of people get pimple however it is common in teenagers and young adults. 90% people, between 12-14 years to 30 years experience some degree of pimple/acne


What causes Pimples/acne:-




The exact cause is not known there are many casuses, some of them are discused below:-

1) Hormonal changes related to menstural periods, pregnancy, birth control pills, or stress.

2) Greasy or oily cosmetic and hair products and improper skin care

3)Certain drugs like steroids, testosterone, estrogen,and phenytoin.

4) High levels of humidity and sweating

5) Genetic/Hereditary.


Why treatments are required:- 

Acne initially starts with mild form and if not treated at the right time, severity may increase. Treating acne is important to control the comdition, prevent formation of acne scares.

Myths:- 

1) chocolate and greasy foods cause pimple/ acne.
Research ahows that chocolate, sweets, fats, and soda all do not affect acne, but it is still important to have a well- balanced diet so you'll strong and healty.

2) Squeezing your pimples is the best way to get rid of them.
Squeezing your pimples can actually push germs further down into your skin and make them larger ant it may cause infection.

3) Washing your face as many times as you can helps to control acne.
Actually it is recommended to wash your face twice a day with soap and water, not as many time as you get to a sink.

Also scrubing your face really hard and frequently washing may actually worsen the condtion by irritating yor skin.

4) you should not wear makeup if you have acne/pimple.

Actually, the use of makeup is relatively harmless when it is noncomedogenic, hypoallergenic, nonirritating. Some cosmetics now even come with acbe fighting ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid in them.


Skin care tips For Acne/pimples:- 




1) keep your face clean and wash your skin gently with a mild cleanser preferable twice a day. Scrubbing hard may worsen acne/pimple.

2) Avoid touching acne or other facial eruption with your hands and spreading infection further.

3) Wash your hair regularly.

4) Avoid excessive hair oils or oil massages.

5) Do not use oil based and greasy makeup

6) Eat a healty diet with lots of fruits and vegetables.

7) Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and wash toxins from the body.

8)Wash you pillowcases at the end of every week

9) Don't take stress, Regular exercise and sufficient sleep are essential for a healthy skin.

10) make habit to take a shower after exercise

11) Wear soft cotton clothes to get relief from itching and irritation or acne on your back and shoulders.

12) Avoid dirt and pollutants.

13) Stay out of direct sunlight.
